Viscor
This is a user-friendly viscoelastic foam, commonly known as thermoelastic “memory foam” or “slow foam”. It was invented in the 1970s at the US NASA research centre. Its principal function was to neutralise the negative effects of long-lasting sitting and lying in a limited space, as well as to absorb energy generated during take-off and landing.
The fundamental characteristic of the VISCOR foam is its low elasticity, which results in its "slowness" If we press our hand against the foam, it makes a dent which will only gradually disappear after some time.
